The ultimate goal of the trust is to provide financial security for the beneficiary over their lifetime. Our team performs a comprehensive evaluation of the individual’s medical, physical, and environmental needs. They collaborate with the Trustee to ensure current government benefits are not jeopardized, assist in developing a budget to ensure the longevity of the Trust, and establish a plan of care to meet the individual’s multiple needs.

Annual Trust Evaluation
A Trustee has the fiduciary responsibility to manage the budget yearly. CCN is often consulted for a variety of expenses that would impact the yearly budget: new equipment, new accessible vehicle, DME, additional or unforeseen home care needs, travel, medical procedures, home modification, new home construction, and medical procedures & therapies.
Benefit Analysis & Guidance
In coordination with the Trustee, we provide an analysis and guidance on current and/or future government benefits (SS, SSI, SSDI, Medicare, Medicaid). This is done to ensure the client is protected for the future. Sometimes a trust can disqualify a client from receiving these benefits. We are able to present the pros and cons of the impact the Trust will have on these benefits and how that impacts the client’s financial future.
Navigating Special Needs Trust (SNT)
A SNT is a specific vehicle that helps to protect the assets of a child or adult with a physical, mental health, or intellectual disability. The assets in the Trust are used for the benefit of the individual with a disability to improve his or her quality of life. There are rules and restrictions on a SNT that allow for the continuation of government benefits. Our team is very experienced in working with SNT clients.
